Our prayer is that God would move on the campus this year. We want to be a part. If you want to be a  part, take a look at some of the early opportunities we have to make a difference  in some students lives at the beginning of this semester.

August 4-14 GLORIETTA/GRAND CANYON

We are  heading to the  Grand Canyon for a couple of days, then over  to Glorietta, NM for Student Week. I hope you will be there  too.

August 19-20 OPERATION MOVE-IT

Operation Move-it is a collaborative effort of all the Campus Ministries to minister to college students as they move into the dorms. For all of you who have ever wondered what the kids  are  like that go to the other ministries, how you can serve others on campus, or just want something to do, come help us make a difference in these people’s lives. You might be surprised at the cool people you will meet, or how much the students appreciate you helping. You got nothing better to do anyway, so come out! (free breakfast for volunteers at Wisdom at 8 am both mornings).

August 21 UCM BBQ

This is a really fun event, all the Campus Ministries come together and grill a ton of hamburgers and then give em all away. We will be inviting students to this all week, so several hundred will show up. You should come too, meet some new students, watch some kareoke, maybe get some stuff from the different  booths, and grab a free bite to eat.

August 23 – 28 is WELCOME WEEK @ THE BCM

Monday - 6-8 pm we are throwing a freshman fellowship. Invite your little cousin or your younger friends from high school and come get them plugged in. Free food, games, and new friends.

Tuesday – Our first Revolution is going to be at 6 pm @ the Forum in the  Student Union. Were gonna have some great worship and a good speaker.

Wednesday – @noon we’ve got our first noon lunch. Come get some free food. Meet some new people.

Thursday – We have the pool at Bourgeois Hall reserved from 6-9, and Scott will be grilling out. Lots of  free food and fun.

Friday – nothing. Go home, relax, and prepare for saturday.

Saturday – Hiking Tunica Hills, but I promise no getting lost this time. Actually, we will probly have two routes, 3 miles, and 1 mile. Choose your fitness level.

SEPTEMBER 9TH – SAINTS VS. VIKES!!!!

Pretty self explanatory, we are having a party to kickoff  the NFL season, and we will have free food. Come hang out and watch the game on the big screen.

Another year is over. Another year closer to graduation. (unless you changed your major again this  year, in which case you might be another year further from graduation) Summertime is almost here, and we’ve got alot going on this summer.

First off, Scott is taking a group of students to the World Cup in South Africa for two  weeks in June. Please pray for him, as well as the several students that we have going on the trip. Pray for safety, effectiveness, and that hearts would be open to the gospel, and to God.

Next, almost every week this summer  there will be a new  student orientation on  Thursdays. If you are a student here at the BCM and want to help out this summer you can call us and ask about helping out with orientation, and if we have space at our table we will let you know. We would welcome the company, so if  youve got a couple of hours on a Thursday this summer, or want more info, give us a ring.

Scott and Wiley will be pretty busy this summer with orientations, newsletters, cliff jumping trips, hiking trips, road trips, summer soccer and basketball, and trying to  put together  some media and speaking resources for next semester.

If you are looking for some things to do this summer then we are going to be doing a summer  pool party, and towards the end of the summer we are going to Glorietta and the Grand Canyon! We will update the events page as we get things planned out all the way. If  you need more info then give us a call.

We are really pumped about this  coming year,  and would encourage you to check out the events  page  and see whats coming up, and check it through the  summer as we add a few more  things before school gets here. God bless your  summers and we cant  wait to get  going again.
